Pioneer Boys & Girls of America

Pioneer Vision

Contemplating the need for organized and supervised youth work, back as early as 1928, it was decided, because of the limited activity for the youth younger than 12 years of age, to organize in troop formation, a movement, into which youth at the age of 8 years could take membership. It was noted that their minds and habits were more impressionable at this age, and with proper guidance, would make better adults.

The Pioneer youth program and its efforts towards the formation of good habits and good character, adds help to the early family training of good conduct, traditional habits and respect, but it was noted also that outside influence seemed to play an important part in a youngster's advancing thoughts.

Youth may take membership when they reach their eighth birthday and may remain as members as long as they so desire. Our emblems and equipment have all been designed by this organization.

Our vision with the opening of our National Web page is to give all youth who qualify, along with their parents, a safe, clean, moral internet place to become Leaders of tomorrow by learning skills and qualities that will shape their daily thoughts and actions.

The programs learned here can be used by families, schools, youth clubs and churches. It will assist in developing good citizens of all communities regardless of race, color, financial position, creed, faith or national origin.

ORGANIZATION COLORS

The official standard colors for the Pioneer Boys of America are blue and gold. Each troop may select its own troop color for neckerchiefs, patches, banners or troop flags, which must be selected through headquarters listing. This in no way alters the official standard colors of the Organization.
